This week i have managed to get wrtiting on my front cover. I think i am finished as i have now got all my sell lines in as well with my new title which is 'Siren'.
i also started to develop my double page spread and i have my title all set up , i then managed to put in my double page spread image and it is really starting to take form. This is the image am using for my double page spread. I first had to use and unsharp mask on my image. This defined the image. I then had to take the straw out of the image and i did this by using the clone stamp tool taking it from the floor to cover up the straw. I then used the elliptical marquee tool to create a shape around my model.I then inversed it and changed the contrast adn brightness on the image to create a focus point upon my model.
my front cover i think is now finished and i really like it. It has taken a while to get right as i struggled to think of name for it. This is now sorted and the magazine is called Siren. I liked this name as my magazine is for women i thought the mythical sirens who were beautiful would create a name which i was looking for and it would hit my target audience. I had and issue with the text as after i put all my sell lines into the product i felt like they were very hard to read, i tried to put a stroke round all of the sell lines and this indeed make it stand out but it seemed to ruin my product and make it look almost tacky. I then asked my friends what they thought about my text and they said to try blue and remove the stroke. This worked so well and i now feel that it looks good on my finished product.
