I am very pleased with my front cover and how it looks and i think it looks professional. The final week was a bit stressful but my product had really started to take shape. I inserted my front cover into my double page spread and continued to add the final touches to my dps. Such as incorporating my break out box with pictures and the text i had prepared and movign my article. I also changed the colour of my title , before it was previously just white but to make it stand out i selected certain words and coloured in red and did in on the quotes which stood out from the article. This i think added the a 3d affect to the article making it stand out againt the page.
The skills i learned whilst creating the product were being able to edit picture and brighten
en them to make them look professional. I also learned how to create the cell button in the top right hand corner giving my magazine the circle shape which you can now and again see on glamour. I also learnt how to make the writing on the front cover stand towards the side that i want to make it look more professional.
I also became a lot more confident with indesign this i found very difficult to use but i managed to soon learn the techniques to help me create my product. The technique which found difficulty but am now confident with is importing images and resizing them this could be tricky with the white arrow stretching it and the black changing the size. I think though now that i have managed to use this to my advantage to create and import some great images. I also learnt the importance of margins when i was trying to place my text into my article this week the margins showed me where i could place them and what invisible border i would create with the work keeping in the margins , giving my work a professional finish.
i think that my product reflects my creativity , i had so many ideas for my photos and images which i wanted to take and in my photo shoot i took a lot more than i was expecting. i also thought of the sell lines very quickly and this surprised me that i could still think of good ones right on the spot. I am really happy about the colour scheme , i thought that the pink , white and blue went better than i thought it would i had to change it from the black which it was before and i think it creates a girly and elegant look to the magazine.
looking back over at my article i am starting to dislike it , i feel like it isnt what i was expecting when i first wrote it. I think next time i need to think and try to aim it more at us as the youth. My friend really like my images and i have got many compliments on them at how good they all are and that they are all good quality images. They werent so sure upon the background of my break out box ,as they thought the dark colours were to much and they weren't a nice colour but i disagree i like it because if i put t lighter coloured then it would look not right and out of place but i appreciated their comments.
i think that overall i used my time to create my two pieces the front cover and my double page spread as i finished it with just enough time to check it and make final changes to make sure that i was happy with what i was submitting and overall i am very pleased with what i have done.
