This is my double page spread. Creating this i have learned some new skills. One of these is  the rule of 3 this is where within a double page spread you place 3 images this creates a balanced look to the page.
The rule of using 3 colours ensures that they isnt too much going and the reader doesnt not get distracted. Within the double page spread images could be used to point in a direction towards the text of your dps subconsiously.
Overlapping the images creates a effect which makes them stand out from the page along with the drop shadow it makes the images look 3d creating a shadow underneath the image to enforce the images and bring them from the page. to make the images look the way that they do you firstly crop the image to make it square then using the square tool you draw a square around the image to create the shape that you want then colour the shape white! This then creates a background to the image framing the picture enhancing the image.
To create the background export a image which you have chosen then place it into indesign and fitt it so that it creates a background look. to then create the break out box you open a paper image within photoshop you then erase it to the size that you want. you then place it where you want it to be within the double page spread and add text by the text button.
When placing your text in , create more than one text box and enter your text into to the box if it doesnt fit you hold your mouse tool over the box and when a red cross comes up you click that and place the text into the next boxes until it all fits correctly.
