Levels and Curves tool

 The levels and curves tool helps create a cross prossessing affect which gives a 1980s retro look to an image.

This can be done by: 

• going to the layers button. clicking create new adjustment layer. then click curves. 
• You then play around with the different colours. 
• For my images i created a 'S' shape on the red colour curve 
• I then slighty moved the green at the top decreasing the colour and at the bottom i moved it up create to more green in the background. 
• Then for Blue i created the 'S' shape again to add a mix of blue within my image. 
• to finalise the image you then go to the adjustment buttton and add a solid colour , i used yellow. 
• This should create a yellow picture , you then change the opacity to around 12% so that it gives a ting to your previously edited image.
