Photoshop techniques

This lesson we learnt four new effects to put on to an image.


 This is the original image that i performed the new effects which i learned on.

The first one we learnt was desaturation with a brightness and contrast change.
To make this effect i firstly went to:
Image , then adjustments desaturation and then adjustments brightness adn contrast. shift+ctrl+U  

  The next effect was the Auto colour/tone/contrast. This the main thing that magazine editors use firstly when they first edit a picture.  
To do this you go to Image. Auto 
tune/contrast/colour.



















 

 The last effect i learnt was vingetting. This darkens the outside of the image which leads the eyes focus into the middle. Using an unsharpen toolit creates a much sharper look to the eyes and facial feature. 
To do this i used  the:
Elipitical market tool 
increased the feathering up to 60-90 pixels
create a shape around the face.
then select , inverse , image, adjustment , brightness down. 
then filter , shrapen , un sharpen mask.
